IPASPR Conference Held to Rally Support for Palestinians
Conference participants were expected to elect a new IPASPR secretary general, establish committees for defending Palestinians, boycotting U.S. goods, propagation, political affairs, administrative affairs, and other committees.
Conference participants also reviewed the sensitive and difficult situation in the occupied territories and adopted strategies to help the Palestinian people.
The current IPASPR secretary general, Hojjatolesalm Ali-Akbar Mohtashamipour, told IRNA that the IPASPR is a non-governmental body and has 220 members from 20 countries, and that the two-day conference was in fact a gathering of the IPASPR general assembly.
The IPASPR is one of the most reliable international organizations and could strongly influence the decisions of the international community, he argued.
The conference also elected members of the IPASPR executive committee and also studied and approved its by-laws.
